Selim Ramia & Co announced yesterday that Grand Cinemas, the region’s leading theatre chain, will open its doors to the public for the first time in Kuwait on October 26th. Located in the country’s tallest skycraper, Al Hamra Tower, the new cinema will offer Kuwait residents an unforgettable experience, starting with the exclusive release of the highly anticipated James Bond film, Skyfall. In keeping with this desirable address, Grand Cinemas at Al Hamra Luxury Center offers customers only the best. With eight spectacular screens and the first Grand Class theatre for VIP luxury, the cinema has a total of 1450 seats. From the moment consumers enter the spacious, stylish main lobby, they can feel the Grand Cinemas difference. All screens are uniquely equipped with the latest digital technology, including 4K projectors capable of a whopping 8 million megapixels – a first in Kuwait. The signature Grand Class theater offers film buffs superior comfort and exclusivity with an elegant private lobby, deluxe leather recliner seats and a personal waiter service.
As would be expected of the largest cinema chain in the Middle East, the new location enjoys lavish designs and installations, an unparalleled variety of concession offerings, as well as a compreshensive array of services, including online booking, kiosk ticket purchase, a mobile application for booking on the move and an award-winning Facebook community. “I’m proud to lead Grand Cinemas into Kuwait and to share this experience with consumers. We chose the site very carefully: a prime location, located in a landmark tower,” says CEO Selim Ramia. “With the inauguration of our newest location in Al Hamra Luxury Center, we hope to usher in a new age in movie-viewing in Kuwait. We guarantee that all our customers will experience a high standard of service and look forward to welcoming a new set of film-goers to the Grand experience.” To kick off celebrations, Grand Cinemas Al Hamra Tower has been scheduled for the year’s biggest titles. Following Skyfall, which premieres on October 24th at a red carpet screening, moviegoers can look forward to blockbusters such as the Twilight finale and The Hobbit; plus all the Hollywood, Arabic and 3D exclusives that patrons have come to expect from the regional leader in entertainment.
